New Must-Read Sapphic Book List

Hello Reader,

Author Interview

I did a short author interview with Carly Bryant and it was a lot of fun. It’s free to read for everyone in text form and Patrons got it as a pdf download that is nicely designed.

Wow. I was not expecting this

Over the years I have had a number of run-ins with vitriol online. I don’t think you can be a content creator without it. Some folks are loud and mean and sadly that is just a thing online.

But since we have been advertising the AI panel discussion we have received more negative comments and rudeness than ever before. At first I was wondering if it was a case of people not understanding that I am not promoting the use of AI (we will always be human made only) instead I am saying we need to talk about this thing that is changing our landscape but the more it happens (regardless of what we say in our posts) the more confused I become.

I am happy to say, though, that as always, the community is coming together and this is what I love about the sapphic fiction space. We are a community. We are small but mighty and we can figure this out because we are doing it together.

The event is important.

It is important to talk about this big big thing that is changing our space. It is important to understand how things are changing and to learn to separate facts from fiction. And it is important to figure out how to respond to this ever growing challenge as a community.

I have four incredible panelists who are smart and directly involved in writing or publishing which gives them unique insights into the community and what is happening at ground level.

We have two hours to cover the topic in depth and we are focusing the conversation on sapphic fiction which makes it relevant to every single reader, author, publisher and reviewer in the sector.

Tickets can be bought here for $7 each. We kept the price low to make it as accessible as we could while still trying to cover the basic costs for the event.

International folks note: For some reason, some of our international people are having an issue. Just email me and we will give a paypal link.

Can’t afford it note: If you really want to attend but can’t afford it, just email me and I will give you a free ticket. It is more important for me that you can attend if you want to than to gate-keep the event.

Now onto some books which always make me happy

Reviews and New Must-Read List

This week we did two reviews for slow burn romances but the books could not be more different if they tried. One is an angsty romance set in India, and the other is a gentle and sweet romance not set in India.

We also have a review for a thriller set in post-apocalyptic America.

We also released a fun list of 4 Must-Read Rom Com Vacation Romances. We are all about that feel good vibe.

New Releases

We have more books tomorrow as New Releases go live so make sure you check out all the Current New Releases here.

And in our Community Section

There is an auction for author Jourdyn Kelly happening in a private facebook group. Details are at the end of the newsletter so download the whole thing. Go bid on books and go sign up as an author.

The great thing about reviews is that we read books and share ones we like, upping the chances of you finding only the best books out there.

Transcendence by S.R. Shah is a love story to India, and a slow-burn romance with a lot of mental angst for one of the main characters.

From our review: “This is a love story in two parts – the story of Mahek and Isha, and Shah’s love of her country, India. It is a very descriptive and colorfully detailed account of the country, its people and its food.”

Finding True North by Emma Weimann is a gentle, slow burn romance that will charm you from the opening chapter.

Hello Reader, When I was younger and first discovering the beautiful world of sapphic fiction there were maybe four to six sapphic fiction titles being published every month. Most of them were contemporary romance and about half of them were good reads. (I spent a lot of money importing books to South Africa back then). So it was really easy...
